Check out this great new interview with Sienna, from Variety! It’s to promote her award from them as the One To Acclaim at the Hamptons Film Festival — see the post below for more on that.

Miller’s the One as Hedren holds court
Fest Traveler: Hamptons Film Festival 2012

Based on stellar perfs in such pics as “Factory Girl” and “Layer Cake,” Sienna Miller has been one to watch for many years, but now she’s offically been tabbed for the One to Acclaim Award at the Hamptons Film Fest.

A former model who was born in the States but raised in London, the actress has a handful of bigscreen pics upcoming but none of those may not give her the career bump that she may receive by playing Tippi Hedren in HBO’s telepic “The Girl,” due to premiere at the fest Saturday and debut on the pay cabler Oct. 20.

Directed by Julian Jarrold from a Gwyneth Hughes screenplay based on Donald Spoto’s “Spellbound by Beauty,” Miller’s Hedren is a fashion model hired by Alfred Hitchcock (Toby Jones) to star in his film “The Birds.” Hitchcock doesn’t care that she has no acting experience.

For him, the birds will be the star and Tippi will be the blond Galatea to his sadistic, self-loathing Pygmalion. The battle of wills, resumed in “Marnie,” virtually destroys them both. The statue doesn’t become human; the human becomes a statue.

Kate Moss, Sienna Miller, Keira Knightley and Margherita Missoni are putting their best footwear forward to raise funds and awareness for a charity aiding children who live on the world’s biggest landfills.

These stars, joined by Gemma Arterton, Paul Smith and Joanna Lumley, have donated signed pairs of shoes to be auctioned by the Small Steps Project, a charity that aims to lift children living on some of the world’s largest rubbish dumps out of poverty.

‘These shoes were given with love,’ Miller said of her black Stefanel sandals (size 37). ‘I loved dancing the night away in them and hope they can bring as much joy to someone else. It’s a privilege to be able to donate to such a worthwhile charity.’

Arterton donated the shoes she wore to a Giorgio Armani couture show in 2010, Smith signed two pairs of his loafers, and Missoni offered up her favourite pair of Missoni silver heels—in size 39.5, in case you’re interested.

Pregnant actress Sienna Miller has cleared out her wardrobe to raise money for Britain’s elderly.

Holidays and celebrations during the summer interrupt our schedules and donations rapidly decline as a result – particularly this year with the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, Olympics and Euro 2012

The Factory Girl star, currently expecting her first child, has donateda purple maternity dress by Keungzai to be sold in a thrift store for the Royally Hot campaign, which encourages Britons to give up their unused clothing on Queen Elizabeth II’s Diamond Jubilee.

Miller’s sister Savannah, her design partner on their Twenty8Twelve clothing range, has handed over a retro-inspired black jumpsuit to be sold in an Age UK thrift store.

Hugh Forde, Trading Managing Director at Age UK, says, “Holidays and celebrations during the summer interrupt our schedules and donations rapidly decline as a result – particularly this year with the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, Olympics and Euro 2012.

“We’re hoping that with big names like Sienna and Savannah Miller backing Age UK’s Royally Hot campaign, it will act as a reminder to people to donate quality unused clothing or goods to our 450 Age UK shops, which is a great way to support the charity and make a real difference to older people’s lives when money is tight”.

Celebrities have been clearing out their designer wardrobes to support the Wrap Up Against Poverty 2012 initiative

Set up by the national charity Elizabeth Finn Care the initiative aims to raise vital funds for those who cannot afford essential clothing.

Items that will be auctioned on eBay to raise funds include a chic leather jacket from Sienna Miller, a vibrant purple Alberta Ferretti coat from Dame Helen Mirren and a cosy Missoni jumper from Richard Branson.

According to the Elizabeth Finn Care charity there are 13.5 million people living below the poverty line in the UK.

Malcolm Tyndall, director of the charity explained that funds raised from the auction will enable them, ‘to help even more people find and access the help they desperately need.’

Lisa Snowdon who donated a Chanel hat, explained that she got involved because: ‘It’s unbelievable to think that so many people go without warm clothes through the winter, and by bidding in the auction everyone can help to change lives for the better.’

Sienna, Natasha and Savannah – I’m So Proud of My Girls!

I am so proud of my daughter Natasha, and my step daughters Savannah and Sienna. Not only have they been very successful in turning their passions into professions, but they are all dedicated to giving something back and making a real change.

My daughter Natasha has recently launched an amazing food range called Honestly Healthy, which gives people balanced nutrition that really nourishes the body.

I couldn’t get by without her amazing snacks and fridge-filling service!

Honestly Healthy compliments her holistic retreats, that are such a respite to grounding yourself and finding balance again. She really is an inspiration to me, and a reminder of the importance of taking the time to look after yourself.

In addition to her businesses which centres on wellbeing, Natasha has also done some important work for charity. In 2005 she and Laura Fraser held a jungle-themed fundraiser in Notting Hill for their Why Not? charity.

That night they raised an amazing £100,000 for orphans of the Rwandan genocide.

Another treat for you! I’ve stumbled across a video of Sienna on stage accepting her award at last months Annual International Medical Corps Awards Celebration. It’s a good 6 minute long speech, and it’s really interesting hearing Sienna talk about the charity. Watch the video below, and further below that is a press release of sorts posted by IMC with the video on YouTube.

Sienna was in Beverley Hills last night, attending the Annual International Medical Corps Awards Celebration, at which she was honoured for her work with the charity! She looked fresh, pretty and sophisticated in a little black dress, ankle boots, and her hair in a (very large!) bun – I think she looks fantastic, and very appropriate for such an event. It was a great honour for her to receive this award, and I’m sure she’s very proud! Sienna says that the International Medical Corps is a cause very close to her heart.

I’ve added almost 150 photos of Sienna looking gorgeous at the event, including over 60 HQs. Enjoy the photos, and then head on over to InternationalMedicalCorps.org to read more about their work and what Sienna does with them.

On receiving the award, the blonde beauty said: “After seeing International Medical Corps’ courageous work up-close I was determined to become more involved. These people work in the toughest conditions imaginable, saving lives every single day, and bringing self-reliance and hope to the world’s most vulnerable people. I am honored to be their ambassador.”
